Load-Shedding Business Hours Protocol

LOAD-SHEDDING BUSINESS HOURS PROTOCOL

When Eskom implements load-shedding, our normal business operations will change as follows:

1. PLANNED WORK TICKETS:

Due to the limited hours of power, during load-shedding, we will have to redistribute our scheduled work dates. Watch out for emails from us notifying you in your of a new planned work date for scheduled work.

2. ONLINE MEETINGS

During load-shedding, we cannot confirm with certainty the times of any online meetings, due to our limited hours of power and internet, and current workloads.  You are welcome to book an online meeting, but please note that the time could change with short notice, as we receive very little notice when load-shedding stages change. If you do book for a paid meeting, there will be no refund if we have to move the date and time due to load-shedding.

3.  BUSINESS HOURS

Our operating hours remain the same as our normal business hours.

4.  COMMUNICATIONS

We will be able to communicate via WhatsApp during load-shedding.

Landlines don't work during load shedding.

EXPLANATION

In South Africa, we only have one company (Eskom) that supplies electrical power to the entire country. Eskom usually implements load-shedding without notice or at very short notice, and this impacts our business hours.

Load-shedding is a controlled process of rotational power cuts that Eskom implements to protect the electricity power system from a total blackout.

The power can be off between two and 24 hours a day, depending on the "Stage" of load-shedding being implemented.

You can view the current load-shedding stage here:
https://loadshedding.eskom.co.za/

Due dates for scheduled appointments and online work -  or any work that requires electrical power and an internet connection - may be changed automatically depending on how much load-shedding time bites into our business hours.

Please Contact us for any queries.
